Must The Show Go On

Infinity a word that eats up everything , it’s a word or an easy excuse to define anything and everything that’s beyond the grasp of human mind. It includes everything, life death, joys, sorrow, happiness, sadness; all these words are an integral part of the infinite.
That’s all he said and turned back, now he was facing me, sitting in the chair I tried to grasp what he was saying.
Life is infinity, he continued. Life is infinity that is the show we will be discussing. I will be trying to help you understand the various facets of the show, its composition and the various problems the show faces. We all are characters playing our roles and doing our bits and parts to make the show successful. The problem comes when we become very attached to the characters we are playing, we think the fiction of the show is the truth; we forget what we really are and where we belong to. We tend to think that we are the basic bones of the show skeleton and without us the show would stop, it would fight for its life and slowly die.
I was bored, wondering at what I was doing here, I looked around for an opportunity to sneak out; I searched for an entrance or an exit so I could escape this torture. As a boy I was taught never to listen, I laughed at the situation I was in. But there was neither an opportunity nor a way out of the classroom. Just then with my thoughts wandering everywhere possible I noticed a shiny black metal lying beneath my chair. I decided to take a closer look at it, it was a gun. I wondered whom it did belong to but happy to find something I could engage my mind with I picked it up and began inspecting.
The lecture however continued, I could hear him say characters vary in the show, but they all serve for a common cause, to help the show go on. Happy characters are rare but once found they lighten up the show and lines of all other characters behind them. They are successful performers and are easily related to any and every show going around them.
Happiness is an important role in the success of the show and the characters.
However most of characters are doomed in the play, they fail and they expect others to fill in for them but the show moves on. No one is supposed to fill in the lines of anyone else. They expect they get hurt and fade away from the show.
The show must always go on and it does, he pointed his finger at me and asked me to repeat all the lessons I had learnt. For once I stood up and faced him; I saw nothing but my own reflection. I wondered if it was some mirror show I had been attending. Standing there with a gun in my hand, I looked straight into the mirror, but surprisingly my reflection was empty handed. He again shouted at me asking me to repeat all he had said. I tried to remember but all I could recollect was the fact that it was a show and that it had been going on. I mumbled a few words but he got angry, I could see my own reflection and I knew he was about to blow up. He started throwing things at me, a pen stuck me in the eye and I was hurt. I looked straight up and I saw my own face covered in blood , wondering at this stupid mirror show I was into , I knew I had to end it and teach a lesson to the one who had hit me so bad. I was angry and in pain, I aimed a fire and shot in his direction. But I was shocked to see he fell down, he fell on the ground and began to grasp for breath.
It was no mirror after all, I had shot a man. Even I found it very difficult to breathe, I walked straight up to him but my legs were growing weak. My legs just wouldn’t move, I collapsed in the chair and gazed at the person I had killed. He looked the same as me; the resemblance was uncanny only he was much happier. I wondered what had brought me here. I was feeling a unexcrucible pain now, I had to know what was going on and what had I done. With the last bit of strength left in me, I approached him. He was still smiling; I lay down on the ground beside him and smiled back. I heard a faint voice saying “time to go” it was him who was repeating these words. then it all came flashing back to me , he was me , he was my inner voice I had just killed and even when all the while he was trying to teach me lessons he didn't want me 2 learn the hard way from life. The name of the show struck me “LIFE IS INFINITY”; he was teaching me about life and telling me better ways to face the problems in life.
I had killed him , I had killed my inner voice ,I had killed my soul , I shed a tear waiting for death to arrive , I could hear distinct voices in the next room shouting “TIME TO GO”
